The slideshow
below shows pictures from a more mature
community (Legacy Oaks) and our own.
There are several things that I'd like to
point out as you watch the show.
First, there is a mixed use of concrete and
pavers. The pavers are used very
effectively for both walkway and driveway,
alone and in combination. Evergreen
shrubs are used extensively with perennials
and annuals placed in front to provide
seasonal color. In Legacy Oaks, there were
several homes that created a sitting area in
front using concrete or pavers. Since
the homes don't have porches, it provides a
nice area to sit and read the paper or to
just be neighborly. In Legacy
Oaks, the beds have been expanded and
pleasing curves incorporated. The
landscaping takes up considerably more of
the lawn space. The mailbox posts are
natural aged pressure treated wood.
The mailboxes are white or silver. Enjoy the show. |
