This can be the best part of the meal. In fact, it can become of itself. One of my bad habits is doing so much before the meal that my guests have little room for the main course. When eating out, I thoroughly enjoy ordering appetizers and skipping the main course or ordering a soup and salad. That is usually more than sufficient for a single sitting. On the other hand, if it isn't quite enough, there is always dessert.
Note the abundance of salads. Most of these are from Mom's recipe box. The family will recognize many of them.
